About the Event
If you have no experience in video editing, this free workshop is for you. This introduction workshop will teach you how to edit using Davinci Resolve. Laptops, project files to edit, and headphones will all be provided for you. All you need to do is register and then show up! :)
Please note: Due to a limited number of spaces available for this workshop, we will be giving priority to those who have no experience or very little experience using Davinci Resolve. Because this workshop is going over editing basics, any experienced person who attends might find this workshop not useful / helpful to their creative growth. If you have any questions on if this is the right workshop for you, please send us a message via email.
In the 3 hours you will:
- Have an Introduction to Editing
- Session 1 - Learn the basics to editing
- Have a Break & chat with others
- Session 2 - Put everything into practice
- Wrap up & feedback time
Your workshop facilitator is João Lazaro.
João is a Film and Video Editor with a BA in Visual Arts and an MSc in Education, specialising in methodologies for teaching and learning video and film production. Currently working in Content Development and Technology Enhanced Learning at Newcastle University, João’s experience spans short documentaries, films, music videos, educational video series, and animations. A Brazilian now living in the North East of England, he has interests in interview-based short documentaries, video art, DIY, and community filmmaking workshops. João is an active volunteer at the Star and Shadow Cinema, a member of the Newcastle Film Club, and part of the Brazilian Association of Researchers and Professionals in Educommunication.
